When AW Cycles in Reading decided to invest in an e-commerce shop to sell bikes and cycling equipment they chose a new name to carry forward their online aspirations and zovelo was born.
Morbean were approached to develop this online cycling brand and create a broad appeal across the different cycling communities online.
Taking visual cues from the the world of cycling; such as the famous yellow jersey and course marker ribbons; we were careful to ensure a solid, dependable brand that displays a deep understanding of cycling and bikes that can be translated to customers involved in cycling at all levels.
Magento was chosen as the preferred e-commerce solution and our understanding of design for the Magento platform enabled us to maximise the visual impact of the products and brand, coupled with a clear and concise layout to convey technical information.
Developing the ‘cycling community’ aspect we incorporated social sharing mechanisms as well as the ability for the client to upload a range of videos and photographs that feed straight into the online shop design.
To incentivize customer loyalty, the online shop also offers cash-back and timed deals to engage users and help develop a zovelo online community.
